The Grocery Distributor
THE CHALLENGE
One of the largest distributors of groceries in the UK. were worried about their impact on the environment and their current waste figures. Currently sending all of their material for recycling and reporting huge waste tonnages....they looked to reduce their carbon footprint further.
THE SOLUTION
During a site visit, Sadlers identified six different box types as fit for the re-use market. With limited storage and space already at a premium...the grocery distributor requested a weekly collection of cardboard, via one of our rigid vehicles.
THE RESULT
Over 60% of the client’s cardboard waste was diverted up the waste hierarchy to reuse. Massively reducing their waste figures, increasing revenue for their waste and had little impact on the day to day running of the operation.
