Sadlers becomes Sustainability West Midlands Member

Back in February this year we made the decision to join the Sustainability West Midlands network which champions the circular economy in the region. The organisation brings local businesses together to find sustainable solutions to their problems or concerns, particularly relating to waste, resources and energy.

Yesterday we met with Andy Whyle, a representative for SWM, and showed him what we do: how we collect, sort, and distribute used cardboard boxes for reuse, providing a fully circular solution for second-hand and obsolete packaging.

Andy says:

“Thanks for inviting me in to learn more about the business needs that SWM can help you with - and how we can make more oganisations aware of the brilliant carbon saving, circular economy, reuse solution that Sadlers provides for other Sustainability West Midlands members and beyond!”

Since SWM’s establishment in 2002, they’ve ‘helped the West Midlands to become the first region in the UK to have a clear vision, plan, and annual monitoring for a more sustainable future’. See their roadmap to 2030

We are looking forward to providing a solution to more businesses in the West Midlands who find themselves with unwanted cardboard boxes and a wish to reduce scope 3 emissions.

Learn more about the Sadlers cardboard box reuse scheme that’s been diverting used boxes to reuse on a large scale across the UK since the 1950s.
